Our application process is designed to bring out the best in you.
NB: we run assessment centres for all graduate and apprentice programmes, and a strengths-based interview forms part of this. For Industrial Placement programmes, we don’t run assessments centres, so you will complete a virtual or face to face strengths based interview.
Here is some advice from our Recruiters and Trainees to help you to complete your EDF application...
Research EDF and the energy industry before you apply. Start with our Gradcracker Hub, where there’s lots of information about our company. You won’t be expected to know everything about EDF, however, make sure you have some understanding of the industry itself and the latest activities going on in the company / key projects being worked on.
"My top tip to candidates would be to research the energy industry and the company to gain a good understanding of the opportunities and challenges the company faces and key projects and initiatives.”
Danica Apaya, Finance Graduate
Don’t worry if you don’t have much (or any) work experience, as this isn’t something we are looking for. We want to get to know you, your strengths, development areas and your potential to succeed at EDF, so our assessment process is focussed around EDF’s framework for potential.
“I know it is cliché, but just be yourself! A company needs a diverse range of people to thrive, so believe in yourself, and the unique perspectives you can provide.”
Rachael Shuttleworth: Science & Engineering Graduate
