Operational Supervision Support 12-month Placement

AETC Limited is a UK division of the industry leading Precision Castparts Corp (PCC), which employs over 30,500 people across the globe. PCC is the world’s largest manufacturer of airfoil components for the aerospace and Industrial power generation markets.

An opportunity is available at our facility in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and ambitious undergraduate with a desire to work in the operational side of manufacturing. The role will provide hands on experience in supporting projects designed to improve the daily operational metrics of the business. This will involve use of lean manufacturing methods and working with AETC’s latest investments in automation and technology.

Working in a rewarding and challenging environment, you will be able to immerse yourself into a highly skilled and experienced operations team offering valuable support to the Supervisors. This role will provide real opportunity for you to demonstrate significant savings for the business and allow you to gain the expertise necessary to progress within this global industry.

To become part of our innovative team, you will need:

• To be studying for a relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aeronautical with a strong predicted grade (2.1 or above)
• Well developed problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and challenge ways of thinking
• A keen interest in manufacturing in particular the operational side
• To be a well motivated, self starter with drive and enthusiasm
• To have excellent attention to detail and produce quality work within set timeframes
• To have a structured, method driven approach to all work tasks
• To have a strong desire to achieve results
• Strong IT Skills.
