Having designed and supplied thousands of Ejectors, Transvac have more than 50 years of experience, backed by a comprehensive list of worldwide references in a wide range of process industries - including oil & gas, water, chemical, food and pharmaceuticals. 

We are seeking someone who can prove they have the ability/competence to become a key member of our technical sales team based at our head office in Alfreton, Derbyshire.

General Description of Position:

Within this role, you will assist the sales department in key product areas; size and quote Transvac products and spare parts, quote spare parts and re-issued, provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education (along with after-sales support services), process sales orders and assist the Sales Manager with the development of product and market areas.

Responsibilities:

• Assessment of enquiries and associated specifications
• Help in the design of custom designed products
• Process Design (with assistance)
• Mechanical Design (with assistance)
• P&ID drawings (where appropriate)
• Produce Data Sheets
• Cost estimation
• Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
• Compilation of quotation and associated documentation
• Attend bid clarification meetings
• Search for new clients who may benefit from the company products and services, and maximise current client potential
• Provide general technical/process assistance to the sales team
• Visit clients, attend exhibitions (some travel & overnight stays may be involved)
• Liaise with other departments to ensure contracts are ‘handed over’ from sales correctly
• Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events when needed.

Required Qualification/Experience:

• Chemical/Process or Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng or MEng).
• Working both independently and in a team-orientated environment.
• Relevant industry experience - minimum 1-year
• Advanced interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels 
• Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment 
• Commercially aware 
• Right to work.
