Within my first year at Caterpillar, my biggest takeaway has got to be that Caterpillar is a people’s business. Whether that is providing excellent value to our dealer network and our customers but also our people. We invest hugely in our own careers and it’s all about steering your own career path here at Caterpillar. If you want to join a company that invests in its people and makes an impact in the world, then Caterpillar is for you!
My experience at Caterpillar so far has been pretty memorable. I’ve done two out of my four rotations, they were in strategy and product marketing & I’ll be going into sales and aftermarket next. Caterpillar is a company full of opportunities and I’ve been on the EAME Training Masterclass in Malaga, Dubai & Geneva which has been great for my personal development.
I’m not always sat behind a desk in the office, one of the other activities I get involved with is the Young Professionals Group. This Employee Resource Group mainly focusses on personal development for myself and other young professionals within the business. I am involved with organising networking events, going to trade shows and collaborating with young professional colleagues at other Caterpillar sites too.
