Job Description:
The Measurement & Analytics Division is among the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analysers, working at the heart of industrial digital transformation.
A 12 month industrial work placement as an electronics and/or embedded software engineer working in analytical instrumentation as part of a product design and development team within a leading global engineering corporation. Candidates must be currently undertaking an undergraduate degree and be able to commence this placement ideally in end July/August, and no later than September 1 2026.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
Working with experienced electronics engineers to design, develop and test analogue and digital electronics solutions to meet required product specifications and agreed timescales.
Working with experienced embedded software engineers in the design, implementation and validating of embedded software for microcontroller based electronics products, primarily written in C, completed to agreed timescales and specification.
Supporting maintenance activities, including resolution of end of life component issues, root cause analysis of hardware and software issues.
Working within a multi-functional team of design engineers on new product development projects and legacy product design enhancements.
Estimating, planning and documenting own work at all stages of development cycle.
Complying with the corporate and regulatory standards and systems relevant to the workplace for quality, safe working, ethics and integrity, environment and risk management.
Work model: onsite from our St Neots location.
Qualifications for the Role
Ongoing undergraduate studies in electronic engineering, systems engineering, software engineering (computer science) or other related subject and able to spend at least 12 months in industrial employment.
Basic knowledge of analogue/digital electronics or basic competency in software design and programming of embedded microcontroller systems (ideally using C).
Experience using tools such as oscilloscopes & logic analysers - desirable.
Practical experience in electronics e.g. soldering, prototyping - desirable.
Experience of other programming e.g. Python, C++, C#, LabView, etc - desirable.
