I work in the MIPS Hardware Team helping to design and verify parts of our CPU IP.
I found everyone to be very friendly and helpful. I chose to apply to the MIPS CPU team because I knew the team was doing new things and would have opportunities that I wouldn’t be able to get elsewhere.
I have had a great time at Imagination so far, the opportunities seem endless and are always challenging. One of the best things in my opinion is that most of the learning is on-the-job. For me this has meant I can learn as much as I have and want and can contribute to real projects from day one. I have also been lucky enough to travel to the US office a couple of times, to work with our team over there. This has proved to be a very useful experience and also quite exciting!
My background is a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Southampton. I applied to do a summer placement at Imagination which exposed me to the company and the things we do here. The following year I applied for the UKESF scholarship scheme and chose Imagination when they offered me a position via the scheme.
