The Sports Business Group is a market-leading, passionate team of specialist advisors working exclusively on sports projects. We bring commercial, financial, strategic and business knowledge to solve the key challenges facing sports’ leading organisations.
The Sports Business Group has advised on projects involving 40+ different sports and worked in 40 countries across the globe. Working in the Group provides a unique opportunity to see and influence the ways in which sport impacts wider society across our two main service offerings - M&A and advisory.
In M&A we identify, facilitate and execute M&A deals that propel the global sports industry forward, and in Advisory, we equip our clients with world class knowledge and insights to seize opportunities within a rapidly evolving industry.
The Sports Business group provides leading global sports organisations, investors, governments and sport adjacent properties with the knowledge and insight that allows them to maximise the impact of major global sports transactions, drive sustainable growth and enact transformational growth - ultimately shaping the future of sport.
You will work with a range of public and private sector clients across both our M&A market offering and our Advisory market offering. Our recent clients have included FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile), who we have helped develop and implement financial regulations across Formula One and Formula E, the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association), who we have helped ‘open up tennis’ through digital transformation, and the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) who we advised on securing private investment for all eight teams in The Hundred.
You will grow your understanding of the sports industry through a mixture of on-the-job learning and knowledge sharing sessions, enabling you to advise clients, speak at industry events and contribute to flagship publications including the Annual Review of Football Finance, the Deloitte Football Money League and the Future of Sport, as well as insight pieces relating to topics such as transfer spending and trends in the sports industry. These pieces, along with our client work, are valued highly across the industry and are often the subject of media coverage.

All our workspaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team.
You’ll need to have obtained or be studying towards a minimum 2:1 in any STEM degree discipline and have graduated by September 2027 for the Autumn 2027 intake.
Please note that to apply for this role you must be willing and eligible to apply for and obtain UK Security Check clearance, unless you already hold valid clearance.
As a Graduate within Sports Business Group, you will complete the CIMA qualification.
You'll begin with a comprehensive induction programme, equipping you with the skills and confidence to work with our clients. Ongoing professional development will be provided through your project team, mentoring, and a dedicated buddy.
Joining the Sports Business Group gives you the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts across our market offerings. You’ll enjoy the benefits of beginning your career at a global firm alongside a large graduate cohort, while also receiving a warm, personalised welcome to our specialist team.
Through your work you will develop a range of both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. You will learn to use programmes such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Power BI to analyse and present data and write up your findings in a variety of formats such as reports and insight articles.
The network you build will allow you to create and seize opportunities across the sports industry. As you progress you will have the chance to develop your presentation skills, whether this be in pitches, client meetings or at industry events.
We recommend getting your application in as soon as possible. Please note, some of our roles may close before the deadline if we experience high demand.
