We work with clients to address complex planning and development challenges in real estate. From providing advice on large urban regeneration schemes, to promoting our client’s interests in local planning processes, our work is always varied. We also prepare and manage planning applications for major commercial, retail, residential, institutional, culture and heritage, sport and infrastructure schemes.
We combine our planning consultancy skills with the expertise of colleagues specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment, Development Consultancy, Energy Infrastructure, Environmental, Social and Governance, Sustainability and Climate, Affordable Housing, and other areas, to address complex town planning and development challenges.
From day one you will be an integral cog in our team. You might be preparing draft advice, planning application documentation, monitoring local authority activity or working with project management tools to provide support to the project teams you’ll work with. In turn you will be supported to take ownership of workstreams and activities so you can make a real impact on the high-profile work that we do.
We will involve you in client and stakeholder contact from an early stage which gives our graduates the skills and understanding of the wider context that we work in.
You will also be supported in undertaking key pieces of research to support project work as well as business development activities and our thought leadership. Your thoughts and opinions will be highly valued to help the entire team learn and develop.
At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
All our workspaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team.
