The technology landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, transforming how organisations operate and compete. When companies go through a merger or acquisition (M&A), technology presents both significant opportunities and substantial risks.
Deloitte's M&A Technology team – part of the wider Deal Transformation & Post Merger Integration (DT&PMI) team – helps buyers and sellers identify, protect, and unlock the full value of technology and digital assets throughout the transactions process.
Our team supports clients throughout the entire deal lifecycle - from early-stage planning and value creation strategies, through technology and AI due diligence, to seamless integration and separation execution.
As part of our Financial Risk team, you’ll gain experience across a range of areas and work directly with clients on major financial projects.
Our clients range from global and boutique banks to insurers and investment managers. You’ll collaborate with Deloitte colleagues and clients across the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and other European countries, helping you build a broad international network. You may also contribute to projects delivered alongside Deloitte member firms across Europe.
We also have a growing portfolio of solutions and other services that use artificial intelligence, robotics, and digitisation to do more for less, and more accurately. This means you will be able to get involved with our most innovative propositions and experience first-hand how Deloitte is at the forefront of change in the financial risk.
At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events.
All our work spaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team.
To be eligible for the Summer Vacation Scheme, you’ll need to be studying towards a minimum 2:1 in any STEM degree discipline and be due to graduate by September 2028 to be eligible for the Summer 2027 intake.
You'll begin with a comprehensive induction programme, equipping you with the skills and confidence to work with our clients. Ongoing professional development will be provided through your project team, mentoring, and a dedicated buddy.
You will also build knowledge and understanding of how established IT platforms, software, cyber and corporate IT solutions underpin business models and how emerging technologies are a critical enabler for growth and competitive advantage.
The combination of financial understanding through CIMA, technology knowledge and project management skills will provide you will the rounded skillset to operate across the end-to-end M&A life cycle from technology due diligence through to IT separation or integration and downstream IT transformation.
We recommend getting your application in as soon as possible. Please note, some of our roles may close before the deadline if we experience high demand.
We’re not able to provide sponsorship for this role. However, you can apply if you hold a Student Visa which is valid for the duration. You can also only join our Summer Vacation Scheme if our dates coincide with your university summer vacation.
