Ben Timmins

"Working with laser processing team in the MTC has been really enjoyable. The entire team has been very encouraging and welcoming, teaching me the ropes and getting me involved with projects. They’re a pool of knowledge and it has been brilliant learning from them. I’m looking forward to working with them further and seeing what the next two years has to offer!"

"Since joining MTC I have been warmly welcomed into ModSim and actively encouraged to explore areas of interest, develop new and existing skills, and had the opportunity to meet an incredibly diverse range of people, each of whom have been keen to share their knowledge and experiences to help support my learning and development."

Shannon Nicholson

"As a new graduate, working with MTC has been incredibly varied and rewarding! I've had the opportunity to conduct a horizon scan, undergo CAD training, support the Digital Mindset IMP, and shadow team members - all of which have given me great insight into the business and the work of the Technology Transformation team. I have even had the chance to attend the Advanced Engineering 2025 event and get involved with two STEM initiatives; I'm grateful to have had the chance to give back to the local community and expand my network so early on in my career."

Steph Robertson

"My development has really been supported here at MTC, and I’ve had the opportunity to be on some really interesting projects already. It’s been so nice connecting with people all around the business and getting to see some of the great projects we’re working on."

Olivia Burton

"Having been part of MTC for some time, I’ve gained invaluable insights into the diverse individuals and dynamic teams that make up the organisation. One of the highlights was hosting an Ada Lovelace Day event in London, an inspiring celebration of women in STEM that also helped me grow in confidence and sharpen my event coordination skills. I’ve also benefited from a range of excellent training sessions that have enhanced my soft skills and broadened my perspective, learning to approach challenges from different angles has been incredibly rewarding."

Adam Wainwright

"During my time at MTC, I have had the opportunity to work across both the Marketing and Strategy teams, contributing to the development of a consolidated marketing and reporting framework. A highlight was attending the Ada Lovelace event for Women in Manufacturing, held at Westminster on the House of Commons Terrace. It was an inspiring experience to connect with influential figures in the manufacturing sector, including Members of Parliament and Ministers. I have also joined a fantastic graduate cohort, whose support and camaraderie has made the transition into the organisation smooth and enjoyable. While being based in the Liverpool office, I’ve found the team to be incredibly welcoming and helpful, which has further enriched my onboarding experience."

Igor Niedzielski

"As I start my career at MTC, I’ve been very warmly welcomed by the Additive Manufacturing team and given plenty of interesting and exciting projects. It was a great feeling to see some of my work exhibited at an event over the bridge at the AMTC, although the highlight so far would have to be seeing my first metal samples printed. I’m eager to continue learning about CMT’s work and developing my own AM and engineering knowledge. I feel incredibly fortunate to have joined such an amazing organisation, and I’m really looking forward to what lies ahead!"

Joseph Warren

"Since joining MTC I have been amazed by how approachable and supportive everyone in the team is. Whether it is one of the Exec team or another grad, everyone is happy to answer questions or just have a chat. This creates a positive atmosphere that makes coming to work a pleasure. The APS team has already helped me develop my skills even in a short space of time, and I feel like I learn something new every day. I also have managed to get involved in my first four projects, each being different so that each day is never repetitive."

Jas Kharay

"MTC has given me the ideal start to my career, from the get-go, the connections I've made have reinforced my development.I am in the ModSim team where I've been quickly learning the ropes, connecting with the team and understanding MTC as a business. Working on the cutting edge at this point in my career surrounded by a team of positive, like-minded individuals has been invaluable and I cannot wait to see where my career at MTC can lead."
