Where you'll be working

SP Energy Networks keeps the electricity flowing to homes and businesses throughout Central and Southern Scotland, North Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire, and North Shropshire. The energy landscape is changing rapidly as the way our customers and communities generate, consume, and interact with energy evolves. Our role is to decarbonise our network through technology and innovation and to facilitate the UK's journey to Net Zero through electrification.  

Join our Quality Team in either SP Tranmission Business Services and make sure our energy infrastructure projects meet the highest standards. You’ll be exposed to Digital Systems, Processes, Assets, and Delivery, gaining experience in every part of the process.  

What you'll be doing

As a Quality Graduate, you are about to embark on an exciting journey in the world of energy infrastructure! You’ll play a part in ensuring that our projects meet the highest quality standards.  

Your role will be varied and hands-on, giving you exposure to every aspect of quality management in the energy sector: 

• Help develop and implement quality assurance and quality control processes across projects and operations 
• Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and suppliers to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues 
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety across the business 
• Review supplier documentation and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards 
• Monitor subcontractor work and update procedures to reflect best practices 
• Contribute to sustainability and compliance efforts, learning about regulatory requirements relevant to the electricity sector 
• Gain experience in the business data gathering and reporting through use of the digital platform used in projects. 

What you'll bring

We're looking for graduates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about quality: 

• Honours Degree at a minimum of 2:2 (or equivalent) in Business Management, Quality Management, or a similar discipline 
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail 
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams 
• Problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to complex situations 
• A genuine interest in quality management and continuous improvement 
• Motivation to learn about the energy sector and its role in the Net Zero transition
