At ScottishPower, we offer both Summer Placements and Year in Industry placements, giving students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the energy industry and contribute to real projects.

Summer Placements - Our Summer Placements are aimed at students in their 1st to 3rd year of university who are looking to gain hands-on experience during their summer break. The programme typically lasts between 10–16 weeks and offers the chance to develop skills, build confidence and make connections.

Year in Industry Placements - Our Year in Industry placement is a 12-month opportunity for graduates or students who can complete a placement year as part of their degree, typically in place of their 3rd year at university. The programme offers meaningful, hands-on experience within ScottishPower, giving participants the chance to contribute to real projects, develop professional skills and gain valuable insight into careers in the energy sector.
