Where you'll be working

SP Energy Networks keeps the electricity flowing to homes and businesses throughout Central and Southern Scotland, North Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire, and North Shropshire. The energy landscape is changing rapidly as the way our customers and communities generate, consume, and interact with energy evolves. Our role is to decarbonise our network through technology and innovation and to facilitate the UK's journey to Net Zero through electrification. 

As a Business Graduate, your programme will be based within our SP Transmission, SP Distribution, or Customer Service business areas.  

What you'll be doing

As a Business Management Graduate, you will tackle complex problems, engage with key internal and external stakeholders, develop professional skills, and gain valuable insights into how commercial and strategic thinking drives judgement and planning in the energy sector. 

You can expect to: 

• Be exposed to a wide range of areas and functions within our business 
• Support real-life projects and/or initiatives involving conducting market research, analysing data, developing business strategies, implementing process improvements, etc.  
• Build working relationships with colleagues, senior management and internal and external stakeholders 

What you'll bring

To truly excel in this Business Management Graduate role, you'll need: 

• An Honours Degree at a minimum of 2:2 (or equivalent) in Economics, Accountancy, Business, Entrepreneurship, Business Enterprise, Physics, Maths or similar  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex data and draw meaningful insights 
• Proactive and creative approach to problem-solving
