During this three-year programme you will develop core engineering and consulting techniques that can be applied while working with our clients in the UK and potentially even some of our international clients around the globe
Arcadis offers the opportunity to work in our growing Energy Networks and Renewables team supporting our clients in delivery of new connections and grid upgrades to help the UK Electricity Industry meet its Net Zero carbon reduction ambitions.
The candidate will use their skills and software to design and optimise high voltage cable systems for connection of Renewable generation and energy storage schemes and expansion of the Electricity Grid in the UK.
A key part of a cable design is route planning and development of solutions to cross challenging terrain in both urban and rural environments, recognising natural barriers, for example rivers or terrain, and industrial development barriers, for example existing water or gas pipes, railways and roads etc.
An ability to integrate the electrical and physical design interdependencies is the key to success in this field.
