In an increasingly resource-constrained world, at Refinitiv, we recognise that we have an important role to play in the transition to a sustainable economy.

As part of our sustainability approach, we work to:

  • Comply with all relevant legislation and other requirements in the countries in which we operate
  • Continually improve our environmental management systems, policies and targets to reduce our direct environmental impacts
  • Actively take advantage of collaborations with industry groups and nongovernmental organisations to further reduce our footprint
  • Support climate action within the context of global summits
  • Internally communicate relevant standards to our employees, including through training and awareness-raising initiatives
  • Externally communicate on our sustainability performance.

Our sustainability work focuses on four areas where we believe we can have the greatest positive impact – carbon, water, waste and supply chain.

Historically, we have exceeded our current 1% reduction target year on year since 2010. We disclose our carbon emissions and approach to climate change annually through CDP.

As part of our sustainable management of water resources, we look to understand the water-related risks and impacts to our business and to improve our water efficiency.

Within our operations, we promote resource reduction and reuse, enabling a more resource-efficient and productive economy.

Supply Chain

We manage the indirect impacts in the supply chain by collaborating with key suppliers to improve our and their environmental and social performance.

Reviewing and Updating

This policy will be reviewed and updated on an annual basis. The Refinitiv Executive Committee will receive an annual report on this policy, its implementation and our performance.
