Instron - Capabilities in Materials Testing
Our machines evaluate the mechanical properties of materials and components using tension, compression, flexure, fatigue, impact, torsion, and rheology.
Contribute to mechanical engineering design of Low Force products.
Preparation of BOM, design schemes and proposals.
Responsibility for detail design and for drawing set update whilst adhering to Instron drawing and design standards.
Assist as necessary in the procurement of components and liaison with vendors.
Assisting in the running of tests and recording of test data.
Assisting in the introduction of new product into production.
Production line layout.
Supporting pre-production with BOM, instructions and drawing updates.
Ability to carry out design and detail functions using CAD ( preferably Solid Edge)
Ability to do basic engineering calculations to substantiate design solutions.
Ability to work well within a cross-functional cross-cultural team structure.
Ability to work under time pressure and manage own time to meet project timescales.
Ability to pay attention to detail.
Working towards a 2:1 or above in an engineering discipline.
