When you applied for a position with OPmobility what were your expectations, and were these met?

I expected to be joining a global business with a strong engineering background. This has certainly turned out to be the case as I have a strong support network both locally in the UK and abroad in France, Bratislava and India.

What do you like best about working for OPmobility?

I like being able to see the products I have been working on and delivered on the road once I have completed my part on a project, as well as the friendly environment at OPmobility. It does feel like you are part of a big family.

What are your personal development goals?

My short term goal is to become chartered with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, my medium term goal is to deliver a product type I have not worked on before for the first time, and my long term goal is to become a CAE expert at OPmobility and mentor our graduates to a point that they can apply for and achieve Professional Registration, having come through the graduate scheme myself.

What would your advice be to someone joining the team?

My advice would be to not be afraid to ask for help if you’re not sure about something or the work-load is building up. We have great people here who in my experience are always more than happy to help. We are all working towards the same goal of producing better products, faster and none of us can do it alone.
