Why Greencore?

Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, we're one of the UK's leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make every day taste better.

As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we’re proud to employ over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Together, we bring delicious food to life. Our products cover every meal occasion from breakfast through to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacking in between. In FY25, our shared passion helped us achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn.

Our extensive direct to store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, allows us to deliver fresh and frozen food both our own and from trusted partners to thousands of stores every day, ensuring consumers enjoy the very best, whenever and wherever they shop.

What you’ll be doing

Our 3-year Engineering Graduate Programme is your launchpad into a career at the heart of Greencore where you’ll develop into a subject matter expert in engineering management.

From day one, you will get hands on with real projects, working alongside leaders on site and subject matter experts (SMEs) who will help you build the technical depth, confidence and experience to grow into a senior leader or SME in your own right, whether that is through capital projects or infrastructure and utilities.

Along the way you will get involved in technical performance reviews and continuous improvement activities and learn how to apply engineering practices that comply with food safety, health and safety, environmental, sustainability, and engineering regulations and standards, while balancing business considerations such as cost, service level agreements, and production needs and outputs.

Starting Salary: £31,000 + £1,000 welcome bonus once settled in the business. An additional uplift is also provided for employees based at a London site.

Can I use AI to apply?

At Greencore, we want to reassure you that every application is read by a person – not filtered by AI. Applications that rely too heavily on AI often sound less authentic, more generic, and don’t capture the individuality, enthusiasm, and drive we are looking for.
