This 13 month internship is based at Plant Hams Hall within the Assembly Technical Support Department, starting July 2020. The role will influence our technical and quality data systems and strategies. You will be involved in big data / machine learning projects to support our manufacturing operations performance.

The Technical Support Department is responsible for maintenance support and technical services activities within Assembly and Logistics operations. The department overseeing the integration of new installations, maintenance of existing equipment and the co-ordination of process improvement activities.

What awaits you?

  • Analysing production data.
  • Developing data techniques / optimisation methods.
  • Working with large data sets.
  • Design and produce data models from our quality data.
  • Develop front end solutions to host data models.

Qualifications and Experience

  • You must be currently studying a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or Physics.
  • Experience using Excel
  • Programming language skills in one or more of the following (e.g. Python, Java, C#, C++, R, HTML)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools, preferably PowerBI.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Understanding of Oracle / SQL databases.
