Role Overview:

At Go Reply, you will join as a Degree Apprentice (BSc Software Engineer) in a versatile role that bridges high-level business strategy with cutting-edge cloud innovation. You will support clients in staying at the forefront of technology by optimising digital strategies and addressing complex business challenges. Working alongside specialists in data science, security, and platform engineering, you will contribute to building resilient and scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform. From day one, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment, helping to integrate Cloud and AI technologies across a diverse range of industries, including retail, telecommunications, government, and sport. This Digital and Technology Solutions Professional - Software Engineer BSc degree apprenticeship will be delivered in partnership with Queen Mary University London (36 months' programme). 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse software engineering business issues, taking ownership of defined requirements or components based on scope and complexity
  • Support the implementation of Google Cloud software solutions across test and live environments
  • Contribute to the design of end-to-end software solutions aligned to client business needs
  • Assist in building cloud-based solutions using appropriate technologies and approaches
  • Apply engineering principles across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, and data
  • Test solutions to ensure they meet business requirements, identifying and supporting remedial actions where needed
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions are understood, adopted, and effectively utilised
  • Work within a collaborative team environment, with growing responsibility and potential to support and supervise junior team members

About the candidate:

  • A-Levels completed or in progress with an expected or achieved minimum of ABB, including Computing or Mathematics (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated passion for technology with a strong interest in developing as a cloud specialist
  • Willingness to learn and expand knowledge across multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript)
  • Initial hands-on experience with coding in at least one programming language
  • Strong interest in AI, with an AI-first mindset and curiosity around its practical applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an interest in client-facing consulting environments
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new technical concepts in a practical setting
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to build a career in software engineering and cloud technologies
