At Kubrick Group we hire dedicated an ambitious individuals to help make that reality. We have an exciting opportunity in a global biopharmaceuticals company based in Cambridge that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialisation of prescription medicines for some of the world’s most serious diseases.

If this excites you and you’re looking to use your analytical and inquisitive skills that you gained at University or in a previous role but haven’t found the right opportunity yet, Kubrick would like to hear from you. We are looking for our next intake of data specialists to join our journey. Embark on your exciting and challenging 16-week training period where we will teach you everything you need to be a successful data consultant and then get to work for one of the most exciting global pharmaceutical companies based in Cambridge.

Here are some examples of the projects Kubrick Group have worked on at this company:

  • Built a data analytics database for computational chemistry as part of a wider data infrastructure for augmented drug discovery
  • Built an automated comparison report that highlights misalignment between HR’s and Finance’s view of the organisation’s cost centre hierarchy
  • Utilising Natural Language Generation (NLG) to analyse structured data and describe it in human language, resulting in the creation of automated commentary Enabling Unit’s reports
  • Designing a new finance database, sourcing and cleaning historic data, and creating end to end data pipelines for current financial data – allowing for a new ‘Machine Learning’ approach to sales forecast methods.

The bad news is there is a massive shortage of people that can do the above. The good news is Kubrick trains all its staff in how to solve this stuff!

What you’ll do:

  • Immediately be trained by us, from the day you join. We fully prepare our people in our data labs before they go on site to one of our most exciting clients in Cambridge
  • Be taught all the latest technology skills relevant to data challenges such as Hadoop, Python, Spark, Machine Learning, SQL, and NoSQL databases
  • Learn from the best in the industry, our courses are designed by industry figure heads
  • Once the training period of 16 weeks is complete you will be working in Cambridge.

What we need from you:

  • Desire to work with data and how it can help an organisation make better decisions
  • Curious, analytical and great at solving problems
  • Flexible and adaptable communicator, you can tell a great factual story that will suit the audience
  • Committed to producing high quality solutions
  • Educated to degree level with at least A level STEM subjects – but we’re very open when it comes to degree subjects!
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


  • £32,000 after commencing client project work, with a rise after one year of project work to £40,000.
