About us

This is a unique opportunity to join a successful and pioneering sports betting consultancy. Through a combination of cutting‐edge research, analytical thought and a constant desire to question and improve, we maintain our position at the forefront of the sports betting market.

The Research, Betting and Execution teams work seamlessly with our Data Analytics and Tech departments to not only identify value, but to get our opinion into the market, filling our clients’ desired stake at the optimal price.

Role overview

Successful applicants will join a newly created department responsible for delivering established pricing and risk monitoring operations across various betting platforms and in a growing number of sports.

Responsibilities will include monitoring betting traffic and identifying abnormal activity. Also acting as the first point of contact for external clients and partners as well as internal support teams, particularly in the resolution of issues.

Opportunities will arise with experience in analysing and reporting on potential strategic actions, monitoring and executing aspects of company betting strategies and driving improvements to operational procedures.

The role needs a confident approach to managing risk and making decisions with potentially significant financial implications.

The role requires a flexible approach to working hours as dictated by sporting schedules and will regularly include weekends and evenings.

What type of candidate are you?

The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with strong mathematical and numerical aptitude.

A genuine interest in betting and betting markets is required. In addition, a strong interest and understanding in various sports, particularly football and cricket will be very beneficial.

The ability to concentrate for long periods and show efficient judgement under pressure is essential. Candidates will need to be able to communicate and operate effectively as part of a team while also being comfortable working independently.

What skills will you have? 

  • A 2:1 or higher in a numerate or analytical degree
  • An A in GCSE Maths
  • A very strong and flexible work ethic.
  • A deep interest in betting markets and exchanges
  • A good knowledge of multiple sports – in particular Football, Cricket and US Sports

  2. What bookmakers or betting outlets you consider to be the best and why? Which outlets (if any) do you avoid using and why?
  3. What strategy/strategies you would employ to make a living betting on sports for a year? You should assume you have a reasonable starting bank and explain how successful you think you would be?
  4. If tasked with establishing a new Bookmaker in the UK market, give a brief description of how would you differentiate the product from the competition in one key area?
  5. Briefly summarise your interest in US sports and experience of US sports betting markets.
