Graduate Programme Overview
This two-year programmeis designed to accelerate your development as an EI&C (Electrical, Instrumentation & Control) Design Engineer, offering hands-on experience in electrical and control systems design, instrumentation, and project collaboration. You'll work on live projects, receive mentorship, andgain exposure to diverse industries while contributing to innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and control system layouts under senior engineer guidance
Support the design of instrumentation systems including sensor selection, calibration requirements, and process control integration
Use AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, and instrumentation design software to create detailed drawings and documentation
Learn and apply industry standards (e.g., IEC, BS, ATEX) and RB's best practices
Participate in hazardous area classification and intrinsically safe circuit design
Collaborate with mechanical and process teams to ensure integrated system design
Assist in control panel design and PLC/DCS interface documentation
Support site surveys and commissioning activities (UK/international)
Requirements
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field (minimum 2:1 preferred)
Basic understanding of industrial instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level measurement)
Familiarity with control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA) from academic projects
CAD experience (AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP or similar - training provided)
Knowledge of electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671, IEC 60364)
Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to work in the office 4 days per week
Desirable Skills
Exposure to process industry environments (internships or placements)
Basic understanding of functional safety standards (IEC 61508/61511)
Interest in industrial networking (Fieldbus, Ethernet/IP)
Familiarity with instrument datasheets and loop drawings
