Salary is paid monthly in arrears, on the last day of the month.
Telensa operates a company performance related discretionary bonus scheme for all employees. The bonus is up to 10% of your annual salary.
EMI (Share Options)
Telensa operates an EMI Share Incentive Scheme which is open to all employees. Employees are eligible to join the scheme once they have passed probation, and will then be granted share options when the next tranche is issued (usually every 6 months). The number of share options received by each employee is subject to Board approval but is broadly in line with salary level. The option invests over 4 years.
25 days' per annum plus Bank and Public Holidays, first year pro rata.
10 times scheme salary (salary plus average of 3 years’ bonus) payable to your dependants in the event of your death.
3 days' company paternity leave at full pay irrespective of service. You are also entitled to take 10 days or 5 days statutory Paternity leave.

Permanent Health Insurance
Payment of 75% of scheme salary less any State benefit, after 26 weeks' continued absence.
Private Medical Insurance
Includes cover for self, spouse and family subject to exclusions for pre-existing conditions applied by the insurer. Taxable benefit-in-kind.
Full pay for 3 months’ absence; half pay for next 3 months; at Board discretion, thereafter.

Cycle to work scheme
Telensa offers a Cycle to work scheme through Bike2work. You can save up to 42% on the cost of bikes/equipment. This will also help you improve your general health and well-being, lose weight and tone up. The Cost is spread over weekly/monthly interest free payments. Telensa offers all employees access to their Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which provides a complete support network. The EAP offers expert advice and compassionate guidance 24/7, covering a wide range of issues. Confidential support is available and dependent on the nature of the issue. Counselling or guidance can be provided.
Employees are able to have up to 8 structured telephone counselling sessions and 8 face-to-face sessions per issue per year.
Subsidised Sports Centre membership
Telensa will pay a monthly subscription for all staff that would like to participate in the Telensa Sports Centre scheme. Employees who participate in the scheme will be required to sign a Telensa Sports Centre Agreement, ensuring that they use the facilities at least once a week (excluding holidays).

Telensa’s leading position in the smart city controls market is founded on our great ideas. As well as using our inventiveness to deliver excellent solutions for our customers, we work to protect our investment by patenting our ideas. To support this, we operate a Patent Incentive Scheme to encourage all our staff to follow any opportunities to patent their innovations. Under the scheme an award of £1000 will be made for each filing of a patent in an initial jurisdiction.
Annual Leave Purchase
Telensa offers all employees the opportunity to purchase up to 5 days' additional annual leave a year. The additional annual leave purchased will be added to the employee’s annual leave entitlement for the year. The leave purchasing opens open on the 1 December and will close 3 weeks later. For most full-time staff, the calculation of a day’s annual leave will be on the basis of: Annual salary / 261 working days = cost of one day’s leave.
