Lumacron Technology Ltd. is a rapidly expanding, innovative product company serving a worldwide customer base in the optical communications marketplace. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will be part of a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team delivering world-leading products. We are looking for talented individuals – either early career software developers or enthusiastic and driven graduates.

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will contribute significantly towards delivering Lumacron’s flagship network monitoring, storage and configuration products. The scope for the role is broad – ranging from low-level embedded software to state-of-the-art full stack web development.

Role Requirements

  • Qualified to degree level in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge in at least one of the following: C++, Javascript, Python.
  • Solid understanding of development/deployment of Linux systems, OS configuration, OS security, platform release processes, package management and scripting.
  • Working knowledge of web development technologies: JS, NodeJS, Express, Bootstrap/Angular.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Qt or Open Source development.

Additional Beneficial Skills

  • Experience developing embedded / FPGA-based systems.
  • Knowledge of Telecoms Framing structures (OTN, SONET/SDH, PDH) packet (Ethernet) structures and SDN/NFV.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs / OPEN API initiative.
