Our Animal Health division is a trusted global leader in veterinary medicine, dedicated to the health and well-being of animals. Our Marketing team are passionate about bringing our medicines and vaccines to our customers around the world. Through digital listening and patient analytics, we are able to understand our customers’ needs and strive to provide solutions to meet them.

The companion animal marketing assistant role will provide you with a wide breadth of opportunities in your 12 months with us. Working alongside our team in the development of marketing campaigns, from market research, strategy planning to executing tactics, the skills and experience you gain will support your future marketing career.

You will have an opportunity to work on some of the biggest brands in the veterinary market and be a crucial part of market leading initiatives. As part of a small, yet dynamic and passionate team of marketers supported by a veterinary technical team, you’ll deliver campaigns to the sales team and directly to veterinary customers and pet owners.

By the end of the placement, you will have had the opportunity to develop your own marketing project, presented this to the business unit, as well as assisted on leading brands and developing your own network.

Duties

  • Devising and implementing marketing and PR campaigns on key strategic brands and disease areas working with the veterinary industry and with pet owners
  • Project management of key shows and events, defining objectives and measuring return on investment
  • Contributing to strategy and planning within category team meetings
  • Liaising with design and digital agencies to complete artwork, print and digital media in a timely manner
  • Management of digital platforms - identifying opportunities to develop relevant content for the audience, planning and executing this in liaison with marketing teams, agencies and the relevant business unit
  • Providing marketing assistance to the sales team
  • Working independently and with the market insights team to create market reports and manage data to support decisions
  • Administration tasks such as budget management and print ordering.

Technical Specifications

  • You will be looking to complete a 12-month placement in your third or penultimate year of study, returning to your course at the end of the placement
  • Studying towards a degree in any STEM discipline (or equivalent qualification)
