Hi, I’m Jack and within my Mechanical Engineering degree at Loughborough University, I am currently undertaking my industrial placement year at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
Within days of starting my placement, I felt welcomed and valued as an estates officer; proven by the responsibility I have been granted to lead projects myself, particularly such projects that are working towards increasing energy savings, a topic I think is vital now more than ever.
Working at The Royal Marsden has also enabled me not only to further the learning that I have gained within Mechanical Engineering at University by challenging me to solve real-world problems, but also extended my interpersonal skills and given me the opportunity to make a tangible difference in such an outstanding cancer trust.
