Flannery Plant Hire was incorporated in 1972 by Patrick Flannery.
We’re nothing but proud to have grown our business from one machine (a JCB 3C Excavator) in 1972 to almost 5,000 units in 2022. We now partner with world-leading manufacturers including Cat, Komatsu, JCB, Volvo, Bomag and Wacker Neuson.
From our original base next to the Oval cricket ground, we now operate from a network of nine depots in Aberdeen, Northumberland, Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham, Bicester, Newport, Leighton Buzzard and, of course, our purpose-built Head Office depot next to Wembley Stadium.
Starting with Patrick Flannery Senior 50 years ago, we now have more than 1350 operators supporting our clients on projects nationwide.
In a rapidly changing industry Flannery Plant Hire continues to demonstrate its ability to invest in the latest technology and fleet. Being proactive in seeking the best solutions for our customers means that Flannery consistently deliver efficiencies and services first, ensuring excellence for all of our customers.
Educating the industry so that the benefits of digital machine control can be made a reality on every construction site is a now a core part of our business.
We’ve consistently trained and upskilled our team of operators to ensure competency, and our training team can provide training modules both on-machine and using plant simulators.
