Flannery is committed to supporting local communities and enhancing our social value. We continue to successfully engage with communities that may be directly affected by our work, through skills events, charity work and sponsorship opportunities.
We have actively attended career and skills shows across the county with our core focus on promoting career opportunities within the local communities.
As a business, we work with a number of charity partners including The Lighthouse Club, BBC Children in Need and St Basils.
For many years now, Flannery has recognised the benefits of showing school and college students what the Plant industry is all about.
Regular school and college engagement days are held at Flannery sites across the UK, where students of all ages get the chance to see the machines in action, learn about career paths, have a go in the plant simulator, and even try their hand at operating a machine.
For the second year running, Flannery were proud to supply the DIY SOS: Big Build team with a telehandler and mini digger for the duration of the charity build. So far over £55,000 has been donated to BBC Children in Need.
Flannery held a Charity Golf Day at The Belfry, which raised over £25,000 for St Basils – a Birmingham charity which works to support young people and prevent homelessness.
Since 1956 the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity has been supporting construction workers and their families. They are perhaps best known for the Construction Industry Helpline. A free 24/7 phone service, offering help and advice on many subjects including mental health, and legal and financial aid.
Flannery continues to raise money by attending, taking part and promoting this important industry supporter.
