We are currently seeking a Graduate Electronic/Electrical Engineer based at our Portishead site to join our Hardware Solutions team. Your primarily responsibilities would be to support the team in delivering on the development of the product line, to help lead the direction of Viper Innovations’ products from an electrical perspective. Perhaps more unusually for a typical ‘Graduate role’ the position comes with a high level of responsibility and making a notable difference right from the outset. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to drive the full lifecycle development of our electronics from requirements capture and specification, to detailed circuit design, test procedures and other supporting documents for project deliverables or product development. As a member of that team, you will be required to support our internal R&D programs or external client project, which will help provide direction on next steps for the business as whole.
At Viper we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and innovative in finding solutions. That can work on their own initiative, or as part of a team, and can operate with a high level of attention to detail.
The successful candidate will have experience with design, test, and verification of electronic and electrical systems. The able to prototype and test electrical circuitry from PCB design and CAD software to physical unit would be advantageous.
Must have achieved a minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or an equivalent/relevant degree. An accredited master’s degree would be preferable but not essential.
