Bath Chemical Engineering Student Association (CESA)

The Chemical Engineering Student Association (CESA) aims to improve all chemical engineering students' university experiences through the various social, sporting and industrial events we organise throughout the year.

Our socials are the perfect opportunity for students to get to know their course mates outside of academics and network with students from other years too. And we organise talks with industry professionals and site visits in order to increase sustainability awareness amongst students, in preparation for the world of work after university.

The facts
Our departmental society is a subsidiary of our university’s Student Union and is entirely student-led.
We organise an ice-breaker social for first year students, to allow them to get to know their course mates and students in upper years.
We are an active society and will host events and socials every month for our members.
Every year on the second week of February we compete against other universities’ Chemical Engineering students at the Frank Morton sports day.
We have over 800 undergraduate student members and alumni.
We run cross-year mentoring schemes, allowing first and second year students to network with third, fourth and placement students.
We organise a Ball every year in March for chemical engineering students and departmental staff.
