The University of Nottingham’s Chemical and Environmental Society is open to all students studying chemical, environmental, and other types of process engineering. We offer careers events to our members from a range of companies to give students the opportunity to network with future employers and gain experience.
The ChemEnv Society is an extremely active and successful society at the University of Nottingham, holding multiple social events for students to get involved with throughout the year. This includes a Winter Boat Party, social activities such as bowling and pub quizzes, Frank Morton Sports Day, and our Lady Trent Annual Dinner which is attended by students, staff members, alumni, and industry professionals.
As proof of our success, the University of Nottingham has awarded us the ‘Gold Star’ Society Status in recognition of our contributions to Student Engagement, Inclusivity & Wellbeing, Community Outreach, and Opportunity & Reward. The ChemEnv Society is known for being a rewarding society to be a part of, as well as a great way for engineering students to relax away from their studies and make friends.
This year, we are hosting the annual Chemical Engineering Sports Day Frank Morton at the University of Nottingham in 2025! This is annual sporting competition between chemical engineering students from all over the UK and Ireland, where students have the opportunity to network at the careers fair, play competitive and non-competitive sports for fun, and take home the Frank Morton Winners Trophy!
As winners for Frank Morton 2024 hosted at Swansea University, the University of Nottingham’s Chemical and Environmental Engineering Society are proud and excited to take on the responsibility of hosting the event in 2025. We look forward to meeting you all!
If you or your company is interested in sponsoring this event or being present at the Careers and Networking Fair, then please email: chemical-engineering@uonsu.com.
This is an annual formal event held at the University of Nottingham’s University Park Campus in March. Students, staff, alumni, and industry professionals are in attendance for a night of celebration, including a three-course dinner, networking, guest speakers, quiz, and awards. It is one of our biggest and favourite events of the year!
