Oakwood Fund Management is a student-run investment fund, currently managing £40,000 in assets. It is open to all students at the University of East Anglia.
The fund was established to develop the skills, practical experience and career opportunities of students, bridging the gap between theoretical lessons and practical investing.
The fund equips students with real-life experience in investment analysis, trading and portfolio management. Oakwood follows the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) philosophy when selecting investments.
We believe that ESG is the future of investment banking and education in its application is vital.
The fund uses a long only investment strategy in the aim of generating profits. Oakwood works alongside industry partners to devise its strategies. A portion of these profits are donated to charities.
