Durham University Engineering Society (DUES) is full of talent that is passionate about engineering. As a society we do everything we can to help our members advance their careers with exciting STEM opportunities.
Partnerships with companies and charities help us to engage our members through competitions, webinars and more. We are student-run, but work with the Durham University Engineering Department in order to expand our reach and resources.
Working hard and playing hard is in our blood, so we plan to break up the workload with plenty of fun socials and events to relax and network.
Last year we held some very interesting talks with Dolby and Encora Energy that are on our Youtube Channel in order to give our members insight into industry.
They are in a personal interview format and highly informative.
In 2019 we held a successful Engineering Ball at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Durham.
We have held pub and paintballing socials in the past, and we do not intend to stop there with our plans.
With fingers crossed and everything opening up, we aspire to run another Engineering Ball and many fun socials in the next year for all members to enjoy.
