We are the Civil Engineering and Geospatial Society (CEGsoc) at Newcastle University. We are an inclusive and proactive society who aim to provide opportunities for networking within and outside of the university, enhance the employability of our members and also run fun social events throughout the year.
We have a big influence within the university running social sports teams and taking part in many multi-disciplinary competitions and activities with other engineering societies. Alongside this we run major networking events in the North East, inviting many major engineering companies to come and interact with our students.

Networking Event: These are run annually where external companies are invited to come and interact with our members giving advice on future careers and what engineering in the real world looks like. This is an essential event as it promotes a career within engineering and gives companies access to our members.
Foodbank Collection: We run a termly foodbank collection at CEGsoc where our members are given the opportunity to donate food which is then taken over to a local Newcastle charity.
Annual Christmas Ball: Every year CEGsoc host a Christmas Ball where members come together for a festive party, allowing socialising between members and a good opportunity to let loose before the Christmas break with your course mates.
