Aston BioSoc

Our society is a place where those who share an interest in biosciences can come together and network. By doing so, they can learn something new, share something with others as well as gain valuable interpersonal connections.

This is just a step towards the future for our members, who, alongside, we can hope to see bring contributions to the world of biosciences.

Projects and Events

Projects

We have an upcoming project planned to collage bioscience facts provided by our members during our bioscience-themed cocktail party.

Events

So far this year, we've held our welcome event. Everyone, including committee members, was able to socialise over refreshments, and members could write down questions for us to answer or ask us directly, and we played games.

See below some more of the events we've held:

Fundraiser for Mercy Relief and Midlands Langar Seva Society

Aston BioSoc took part in the Aston "battle of the societies" in which games were played and costs from entry tickets were put towards fundraising for Mercy Relief, a humanitarian charity, and the Midlands Langar Seva Society, to help them continue giving out free food to all.

Healthcare Halloween Party

We got together with other healthcare-related societies for a spooky night of fun.

Ice-skating

We took a trip to Ice Skate Birmingham to enjoy a frosty evening on the rink.

Committee List

  • Vice president - Ebony Filtcroft
