Where you could work

Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology (ADS&T)  
Industrial year locations: Bristol, London
Degree requirements: On track to achieve a 2.2 Bachelor’s or above in Science in any discipline, Philosophy, Theology, Linguistics, Complexity studies / science, Any Engineering related degree.

Data Architecture Team
We operate in ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance), Aerospace, Defence, National Security, National Infrastructure, and Central Government, and are recruiting Graduate Data Modellers and Data Specialists.

We help our clients realise operational and strategic benefit from data and information assets, whilst properly managing risk through good governance. In simple terms, we ask the what, why, when, and how questions about data, and use our research to inform the should, could, and would, of data strategy.

As a Placement Student for our Data Modellers and Data Specialists team, you will work with Senior team members to establish data strategies with our clients, and guide the implementation of your strategy in the form of data models, governance practices, software development, or software development commissioning.

You will bring your enthusiasm, ideas and perspectives on data and intelligence.

The Data Intelligence Practice prides itself on being an inclusive and collaborative environment where we aim to give every colleague all conditions to achieve their full potential.

  • Be an enthusiast of Data Modelling, Data Strategy, Data Governance.
  • Contribute to products and materials around our Data Modelling and Data Strategy offerings, so that the company can take them to market.
  • Be supported and developed to become an integral team member of the team.

What you can bring?

  • An understanding in Data Modelling in at least one notation (Crows foot, UML, dot, ER, etc)
  • An understanding in at least one data-related discipline, with a respectful and general understanding of associated disciplines. Disciplines include, but are not limited to Domain Modelling, Data Integration &
  • Processing; Database Design / Data Storage; API Design; Standards and Protocols Development.
  • An understanding of data toolsets and platforms supporting the data discipline knowledge above. Toolsets and platforms include, but are not limited to: SQL
  • Databases; Document Databases; KV Stores; Graph Databases;
  • MVC Frameworks; Programming Languages; Analytics Engines.
  • An understanding of Cloud computing (Azure, GCP, AWS, or others) and On-Prem implementations.
