Putting yourself out there, learning new skills and taking on additional opportunities.

We believe reaching your full potential means being able to bring your whole self to work and feeling like you belong.

We are AtkinsRéalis, a world‑class engineering services and nuclear organization. Here you’ll help create world‑class sustainable solutions that connect people, data and technology. We're transforming infrastructure and energy systems, growing partnerships with our clients, and bringing the most complex projects across the globe to life.

Our global team of 40,000+ employees speak over 70 languages and represent some 130 nationalities across six continents. Our work covers a variety of sectors, including power, transportation, infrastructure, environment, water, nuclear, technology, defence and aerospace.

Where you could work

You'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, develop new skills and gain valuable experience while making a positive impact on people, communities and the environment.

Depending on your interests and location preferences, you could join one of our teams working within the Buildings and Places, Transportation or Water sectors, helping to deliver some of the world's most complex and rewarding projects.

Building and Places

Some of the biggest changes to city living are happening right now. We're working with our clients to make sure that urban environments become safer, more convenient, and better places to live and work.

This happens by building truly smart cities fit for the future. And in our view, everything from technologies that support improved community services, to intelligent mobility solutions that reimagine how we operate transport infrastructure, belong in this future.

You could work on projects across transport, energy, water and environment, building design, industry, communications and health, justice and education sectors. Whether it’s an airport, a hospital, or a university campus, you’ll help to make places work at their best for people, while maintaining safety, social interaction, and sustainability.

Transportation

In a connected and ever‑changing world, we are shaping the future of transport, making journeys easier, safer, more reliable and increasingly sustainable, supporting a healthier, happier and more productive society.

Through combining traditional engineering, new technologies and innovative thinking we bring ideas to life, meeting increased demands on infrastructure to deliver not only more, but better for less.

Our end‑to‑end services span the entire transport ecosystem, from railways to highways and airports and ports. You could work on massive, long‑term city‑shaping rail and transit projects that transform how millions of people move, solving complex multidisciplinary problems, and innovating with technology like automation and smart data. Or join us helping clients reimagine, redesign, and re‑energize their highway infrastructure - you could contribute to advancements like automation in design, automated vehicles and road‑user safety. Or join our talented teams in aviation transforming the future of flight, as the aviation sector undergoes a transformation driven by the need to decarbonize and improve mobility.

Water

Water is our planet’s most precious resource, and we are here to safeguard it. Working alongside the leading water companies, regulators, and water and wastewater utilities clients, we take a data‑driven and innovative approach - you could support specific project stages or help manage the entire lifecycle. You'll take on complex challenges, spanning water and wastewater utilities and treatments, to environment protection, regulation and resilience. Whether restoring lakes, rivers, wetlands and habitats, or delivering desalination and pollution control solutions, your expertise will help build more resilient, prosperous and safe communities.

What you can bring

  • A curious mindset and enthusiasm for solving real‑world challenges
  • A desire to champion a culture where everyone belongs
  • A collaborative working style and confidence building positive relationships
  • Enthusiasm and drive to develop your skillset and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team

  • Comfortable embracing agile ways of working and learning new technologies
  • A commitment to spend a minimum of three days a week in the office or on client site (project dependent). Being together in person helps us build stronger relationships, collaborate more effectively, and accelerate your learning and development.

Training and development

Our Graduate Development Programme is designed to give you an insight into many areas of work and the chance to explore where your own skills and interests lie. It features a series of training events and modules, professional development, mentoring, and on‑the‑job experience as well as practical skills development.

From day one, you'll work on real projects that offer scale and variety, collaborating with colleagues and creating meaningful impact on the world around us. You'll work towards your professional accreditation (where applicable) - whichever path you take, your future starts here.
