Siltbuster is looking for enthusiastic Engineering, Science or Environmental Graduates to join our dynamic, growing, and supportive team on a permanent basis. 

As a Siltbuster Graduate, you will be (initially) based at our Monmouth Head Office / Centre of Excellence where you will spend time with each department (Technical, Sales, Design [Mechanical or Electrical], R&D, Projects and Ops) to help develop and understand each facet of the business. 

Working closely with your assigned mentor, you will then be given the chance to specialise within your chosen field / department; where you will be provided with the opportunity to further develop and refine your skills and experience accordingly. 

At Siltbuster, you will build on the skills and knowledge developed during your degree – adding industry specific experience and capabilities. We ensure you have the right support and experience to thrive in your role, and progress at a pace that is most appropriate for you.

From our dedicated, purpose-built facility located on our own 10-acre site, we develop, engineer and manufacture, patent protected, market leading, products through our in-house R&D and design teams.  By utilising our in-house laboratories, expertise, and workshop capabilities, Siltbuster solutions are proven, cost-effective, compliant, and environmentally beneficial.  

Our projects, fleet services and remote field engineering teams, ensure complete customer satisfaction whether an individual rental unit or a complete, permanent, turnkey solution.

About The Role

Technical excellence is at the core of everything we do; our graduates are fundamental to building on this and our continued success.

You will report directly to your dedicated mentor and initial responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct technical evaluations, interpretation and reporting of information presented from site investigations, laboratory results or client issued data.
  • Generate and develop technical designs and sales enquiries through proactive engagement of customers, conducting necessary site visits / investigations in identifying Clients requirements and scoping most appropriate treatment solution.
  • Assist in design, delivery and commissioning of solutions including production of standard deliverables (P&IDs, Outline Drawings, Control Philosophies, HAZOPs etc.)
  • Search and implement new technologies, processes & product partners to ensure optimal solutions & opportunity close out
  • Assist in identification and evaluation of potential R&D opportunities to further improve/develop solutions offered across all products & sectors.
  • Represent Company at meetings giving presentations and training if appropriate
  • Learn cross departmental specific skills and activities as applicable.

About you

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the water-environmental sector, with practical and positive outlook. Knowledge of wastewater treatment is preferable, however, what matters most is your enthusiasm to contribute to a make a difference to providing a responsive approach to wastewater treatment solutions.

You will have keen interest in Water / Wastewater treatment and identifying optimum solutions. You have the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Engineering or Science degree in civil / mechanical / chemical / wastewater / environmental or other directly related degree
  • Excellent technical, analysis, data interpretation skills & in identifying project / client needs
  • Report writing & documentation development skills
  • A basic understanding the key elements associated with Wastewater treatment and applicable design standards is preferential
  • Competent in the use of Office 365 notably Excel and Word.
  • Full UK driving licence preferential
