I’ve been with Aviva since September 2018. I was attracted to the company because of its history and size. So far, the graduate scheme has helped me develop my understanding of the business and its challenges.
Aviva offers real breadth of exposure in areas such as pricing, reserving and capital modelling. In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve already been involved in carrying out analyses, presenting findings to senior managers, preparing reports and implementing changes. I’ve also learned new skills, such as using SQL.
Part of my role involves looking at aspects of our pricing methodology and suggesting improvements. I feel like I’m listened to whenever I suggest a change.
