In early 2021, Paige Woolnough, a Psychology graduate, joined Halo Service Solutions on the graduate programme. Almost two years later, she is now one of Halo’s most valuable employees, working as a Sales Manager at the Halo Headquarters in Stowmarket, England.
“I feel that the Halo Graduate Scheme has given me the perfect start to my career. I graduated in Psychology and this equipped me with a vast skillset that could be applied to many different industries. Upon graduated I had not set my mind on a specific career path and wanted a role that would allow me to make an informed decision as to the direction I wanted to go down.
Halo allowed me to spend time in many different roles such as Customer Support, Account Management, Sales, Infrastructure and Consultancy, meaning I was really well informed when choosing to pursue a career in Sales.
I rotated monthly around each department, this made sure my knowledge of the company and industry was developing rapidly and I had a sound understanding of the company as a whole. I was also given the opportunity to travel to our American office after 6 months of working for Halo which really allowed me to quickly develop my skillset.
I found I really thrived due to Halo’s working culture, everyone I worked with each department was keen to help me out and ensure I gained the most I could from the scheme.
One of the best things about the programme is the autonomy you have over your own journey at the company. I started with a full-time role in consultancy, helping new customers deploy our software and configure it to their unique business processes.
This role allowed me to develop further my technical abilities whilst working with many great organisations both remotely and on site. I then started doing pre-sales consultancy and realised I preferred being a part of the sales process and introducing new customers to the product and working with them to see how Halo can benefit their business. I would have never imagined a career in Sales would be for me and I am grateful to Halo for giving me the opportunity to learn more about myself and find a career I wholly enjoy.”
