Inclusion

When you join us, we want you to be part of the Dstl community feeling valued and respected.

Our goal is to attract and retain a more diverse workforce by being an inclusive employer.

Celebrate your difference or become an ally by getting involved in one of our active Employee Support Networks – run by our people, for our people and championed by our senior leadership team.

Diversity on the Virtual Battlefield | Inclusion in Wargaming
Wargamers are taking to the battlefield in the fight for inclusion and diversity.

Networks you can join are:

  • STEPS - new starters
  • PRISM - sexual orientation and gender identity
  • Gender Equality
  • EnableD - people with visible and non-visible disabilities
  • Race, Faith and Culture
  • Parents and Carers

Our networks provide a safe space to provide support, a pathway for honest feedback and to facilitate change. Support is also offered via your team leader, fair treatment advisor, one of our mental health advocates or by accessing our Employee Assistance Programme.

Clubs and societies are a big part of uni life – you can join one of our active clubs too! Whether your interest is gaming, climbing or photography – we have a number of clubs welcoming new members.

Our formal commitment to diversity includes being a Level 3 Disability Confident Leader, a signatory to the Race at Work Charter, the Armed Forces Covenant and being a key contributor in establishing the Derby House Principles promoting diversity in wargaming.
