Position Overview: 

We are looking for a Project Engineer with a strong background in electronic systems development to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and leading projects from concept to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality electronic systems. The role involves collaboration across the business, adherence to project timelines, and a commitment to excellence in product development 

Key responsibilities: 

Planning & Coordination 

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines and resource requirements 
  • Coordinate across the business, including hardware, software, firmware and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless execution 
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing potential road blocks 

Financial control 

  • Ensure programmes are running not only to schedule but to review and report financial status of projects 
  • Support Negotiation with sub-contractors & suppliers 
  • Prepare case for approval of major payments 

Systems Design and Development 

  • Lead the implementation of product designs ensuring compliance with industry standard and product specifications 
  • Collaborate across the business to integrate components to ensure system functionality 
  • Plan and oversee the testing and validation of the company’s products to ensure reliability and performance 

Risk Management 

  • Identify potential risks and challenges in product lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies 
  • Proactively address issues that may impact schedule, specification and cost 

Documentation and reporting 

  • Maintain all project documentation, including design specifications, test plans progress reports 
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, high lighting achievements, challenges and milestone status 

Quality Assurance 

  • Implement and manage quality assurance processes throughout the product lifecycle 
  • Conduct regular reviews of products to ensure compliance with design specification and customer requirements 

Key information: 

AccuLink is a start-up business with a small team. Having just completed a new funding round the business is debt free with a strong cash balance. The role of project Engineer is a key appointment.  The selected candidate will work closely with the Founders to drive the business forward. This is a unique position for a new Graduate or a project Engineer looking for a new adventure to join a well-funded and growing business. This is very much a “hands on/Can Do” role as the successful candidate will likely find themselves working on may tasks as required to support the team that may not be expressly defined in the Job description.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, telecommunications, Computer Engineering or related field 
  • Experience in communications systems development 
  • Project management experience, Profiency in planning tools and use of MSOffice tools 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment 
  • Can Do attitude willing to “get hands dirty” and tackle whatever needs to be done to make AccuLink successful
