Delivery of a new traffic signal network for Hartlepool Borough Council, improving road safety and traffic flow. The project was on a key Hartlepool arterial route requiring safe and efficient traffic management to maintain pedestrian and vehicle flow. Extensive stakeholder coordination and careful planning enabled road closures, diversions, and works near live utilities. Vista delivered all aspects to a high standard, including a low-voltage mains connection for new traffic signals, achieving first-time acceptance at every milestone.
Complex new-build Section 278 infrastructure scheme progressed onto maintenance and then to adoption with the City of York County Council. The project was located at a live four-way junction, requiring careful traffic management to maintain safety and minimise disruption. Poor carriageway construction was addressed with a full-width concrete pad to ensure long-term durability. Close coordination with the local authority and residents allowed the scheme to be delivered efficiently within the allocated road closure periods.

Construction of a new Section 278 junction, transforming a four-way crossroads into a double-roundabout.The project involved working safely around existing utilities within limited road space. Road closures were restricted to school holidays, and access to local businesses and residences was maintained through traffic management, diversion planning, and stakeholder communication. The works were delivered efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to the community.
Complex Section 278 works were required to satisfy a pre-occupation planning condition and were completed to discharge the developer’s obligations. The development was located on land adjacent to the main road linking the A1 to Felton Village, a key high-traffic route. Careful planning and effective traffic management were essential to maintain safe and continuous vehicle and pedestrian movement, including the coordination of lane closures and diversion routes. Works were meticulously scheduled to align with road usage patterns and stakeholder requirements, with overnight carriageway surfacing undertaken to minimise daytime disruption. Close liaison with local authorities, traffic management teams, and residents ensured clear communication, minimised inconvenience, and allowed prompt responses to any unforeseen issues.
