Established in 2017 by founding Directors Tim Botfield and Sarah Wadley, Structural Design Studio is an established practice founded on modern principles. We seek out challenging and interesting projects which push the limits of traditional building materials, as well as leaning into modern methods of construction.
We provide a comprehensive engineering consultancy service, from initial feasibility studies and concept design through to construction, including ongoing oversight during delivery. We work collaboratively as an integral part of the wider design team, and in some cases directly with contractors, offering advice on construction sequencing, temporary works design, and construction methodology. We also act as independent industry experts, providing design checking and technical review services.

Unlike some larger companies in our field, every project is led by a Chartered director with support from structural engineers and technicians to ensure that each project is successfully delivered to our high standards.
