Job Description Summary

As an Accounting Finance Degree Apprentice, you will work within the finance department, which is responsible for the finance systems and processes that support decision-making in line with our business strategy.

The Accounting Finance Apprentice will work independently, as well as collaboratively with other functions, acting as a finance representative on cross-functional teams. This role will give you exposure to both the strategic and operational workings of an organisation, playing a pivotal role in bridging the two as part of your broader accounting and finance development. You will conduct regular and detailed analysis of data and provide regular financial and management information as required by internal and external stakeholders.

You will be supported by your line manager, plus placement managers, mentors, and the wider apprentice network, to ensure you are meeting the requirements of your course and getting the most out of your apprenticeship.

Overview of the scheme

Length of Program is 3 years plus End Point Assessment, completed online with the University of Exeter. At the completion of this course you will receive a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting and a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship award.

Each stage of study is structured to incorporate masterclasses, online learning, academic coaching and workplace mentoring. Assessment is ongoing and is relevant to the work tasks of apprentices with a variety of problem based assignments.

As you progress through the years you will become a more integrated member of the team, taking on more responsibilities in your department and within the apprenticeship community.
