Benefits

We prioritise the well-being of our employees above all else, because everyone should enjoy coming to work. Whether you're on the design team or work in procurement, we want to make sure that you're able to use your time and resources most efficiently, without losing sight of the things that matter.

That's why we have a range of benefits and programmes across our global network that promote a healthy work-life balance and help employees pursue professional goals and personal passions.

Just like customers can customise their vehicles, our employees can customise their work arrangements from health insurance coverage to "family support leave," telecommuting, and other flexible work arrangements.

Pension Plan

Nissan employees are automatically enrolled after 3 months into The Nissan Retirement Choices Plan, a Personal Pension Plan administered by Scottish Widows.

Minimum contribution level guidelines are determined by the Government (currently 3%). The company doubles your contribution to set levels, which depend on your length of service. You can decide how the money in your Pension Plan is invested, and are able to select from a range of different investment funds directly with Scottish Widows

Private Healthcare

As a Nissan employee, you will receive private medical insurance through our scheme with AXA. Employees can join the scheme free of charge, and you can also include your partner and dependent children for a small fee paid through your monthly salary.

Once you are a member of the scheme you can access it straight away if you have a health concern and your GP thinks you need a referral. One call to the team and you’re able to see a recognised specialist at a local hospital convenient to you.

Employee Wellbeing

As a Nissan employee you get access to BEN. BEN is an automotive industry charity, providing support for life for both employees AND their family dependents. A dependent is someone who depends on you financially – this could be a spouse, partner, child, grandchild, parent or someone who depends on you for care.

BEN provides free and confidential online self help, face-to-face support and telephone helpline services.

Healthy Work Relationships

We believe that perhaps the most important factor in employee well-being is the relationships employees have with their immediate managers. A good manager makes employee well-being an integral part of their job, which is why we’ve made well-being an integral part of our Quality of Management strategy.

Nissan Select Benefits

Our Nissan Selects Benefits scheme gives all our employees the opportunity to gain access to a whole suite of discounted offers. These includes offers on travel, days out, holidays, breakdown assistance, restaurants, retail, finance, and car schemes. When you join Nissan, you’ll get access to our dedicated website allowing you to search for all the latest offers and discounts, download forms and information and sign up to schemes.

Medical & Physiotherapy Centre

A benefit of being an employee of Nissan is that you have access to our Medical Centre, which is open from 7am Monday until 11pm Friday, providing 24-hour nurse cover. We operate an ‘open door’ policy, where any member of on-site staff can attend the Medical Centre for treatment and advice.

The Physiotherapy department is situated within the Medical Centre and has 3 full time physiotherapists and a technical instructor. These facilities provide education, treatment and rehabilitation for muscle or skeletal problems.

Fitness Membership

Depending on the site you are based at, you will have access to subsidised gym membership and be able to make use of our sports and social complex. Fitness membership is available from as low as £2 per month and you can even get memberships for your whole family.
