Future Leaders Programme

Technology is the heart beat of Unilever and is present in everything that we do. Its because of this that as a Technology Management UFLP you will get to experience many different areas of the business and insight across the company that is rarely afforded to those in the other functions.

Not only will you get to partner different functions, but you will also get to work closely with many of our technology collaborators including Microsoft, Google, Salesforce and many more. You will also get to experience areas of innovation that Unilever is investing in such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Predictive Analytics. Through this, you will play a key role in Unilever’s drive to innovate for success whilst at the same time developing your own skills and experience.

One of the best things about working for Unilever is the flexible working style here. Agile working practices allow you to work from home when required as well as work the hours that are right for you and the team. Open plan office spaces mean that everyone feels equal, no matter their work titles. A smart/ causal dress code is standard, so there’s no pressure to turn up in a power suit.

You can also take full advantage the great facilities our buildings offer. Most have staff shops where you can find a wide range of our products on offer with huge discounts, as well as in house GP clinics, Physiotherapy services and gym facilities. A few also have their own Tony and Guy hair salons which also gives great discounts on services. Every office also offers free ice cream (hence the appreciation for the free gym).

Top tip!

As cheesy as it sounds, my top tip when applying to the graduate programme is to genuinely be yourself. It's easy when applying to many different companies to try and second guess what answers they want you to give. Truth is, all companies want different things and are looking for different people to make up their work force. Unilever is looking for a wide variety of people, not a bunch of clones. The more you overthink the recruitment process the less your individual personality will shine through, and personality is a big part of what Unilever is looking for. So whatever your strengths, use these to your advantage and make them present in the assessment centres. By doing this you will be more relaxed and confident in your approaches and Unilever will have no choice but to hire you!
