Currently I am seconded to Heathrow Airport working on the Efficient Airport Programme. As part of a multidisciplinary team, I collaborate closely with engineers, planners, commercial specialists, and stakeholders from various departments. My role involves supporting the planning and delivery of projects from inception through to completion, which includes managing timelines, tracking budgets, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that project objectives align with Heathrow’s strategic goals. Working in such a dynamic environment allows me to contribute to a team-oriented culture that values collaboration and innovation.
The selection process at Mott MacDonald was clear, engaging, and well-structured. The conversational format of the interview created an atmosphere that encouraged open dialogue, allowing me to effectively demonstrate how my skills and experiences aligned with the role. I also appreciated the consistent communication from the team, who kept me informed and supported throughout each stage of the process.
My time at Mott MacDonald has offered a wide range of opportunities that have supported both my professional and personal development. Working on diverse projects has built upon the technical knowledge I gained at university and has strengthened my core project management competencies. Additionally, the graduate scheme’s learning and development programme has played a key role in enhancing my personal skills, particularly in communication, engagement, and confidence.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my experience at Mott MacDonald has been the people I’ve had the opportunity to work with. A highlight has been the graduate cohort, which has created a supportive social environment that has made the transition into professional life very enjoyable. I’ve also been fortunate to work alongside project teams that are not only highly skilled but also invested in my development. Their encouragement and willingness to share knowledge have provided me with numerous opportunities to grow.
