In the Subsea Technologies department, we design and build vehicles that are used exclusively below the water surface.
The vehicles supplied by Royal IHC are predominantly used in the offshore energy and telecommunication sectors to bury pipes and cables below the seabed surface.
The vehicle range covers large subsea ploughs, jet sleds and large complex tracked trenching vehicles.
We've completed and begun work on a number of exciting design and build projects:
We started 2023 with a brand new plough order for our 3m multi-depth fibre optic cable plough and a number of incredibly interesting enquiries. In addition to working on secured orders, Royal IHC are proactively developing new vehicles to service an expanding Market.
Royal IHC are looking to develop two new class leading subsea tracked trenching vehicles along with a new to market top loading power cable plough.
As part of the Subsea Technologies engineering team, you could be involved in all aspects of the design and build stage. There would be opportunities to work at the bid creation stage then move the into the detail design stage and finally into the build, commission and test phase of the project. This provides an unparalleled experience for a graduate engineer to take part in full design and build life cycle of bespoke subsea vehicles.
